Boston Terrier

The ancestor of all Boston Terriers, called “Judge” was taken to America from Liverpool in the 1870’s

Although everyone agrees that the Boston Terrier came into existence in the late 1800’s in Boston, Massachusetts, there are varying stories about how the breed came to be.

Originally bred as a fighting dog under various names including Bullet Heads, American Terriers and Boston Bulldogs.

The breed that we know today is definitely not a fighter, they are very intelligent, lively with a loveable nature and an ideal family pet.
